Hey, im trying to highlight these two (position, scale) keyframes on the one layer, using ctrl+c, then ctrl+v to paste 2 seconds further on, but it does not work?? Something so simple will not work!

Its simple things like this that make one simple task end up being 2 hours long!

Copy & paste from my other reply: Start by checking whether you actually have applied the latest update. Several of those keyframe-related bugs were fixed in those updates.

Copy the selected keyframes then open up any kind of text document and paste. You should see something like this:

Adobe After Effects 8.0 Keyframe Data

Units Per Second29.97
Source Width1
Source Height1
Source Pixel Aspect Ratio1
Comp Pixel Aspect Ratio1

Transform Scale
FrameX percentY percentZ percent
183100100100

Transform Position
FrameX pixelsY pixelsZ pixels
146969.602493.6020

End of Keyframe Data

If you do not see something like that then the Copy function did not work. If copy worked, move the CTI (current time indicator) down the timeline and try paste. If that does not work let us know.

One more thing, please embed your images using the toolbar at the top of the forum form so we don't have to download them to see them.

@Rick_Gerard

Thanks for your response.

1. As requested;

Adobe After Effects 8.0 Keyframe Data

Units Per Second 29.97
Source Width 1872
Source Height 984
Source Pixel Aspect Ratio 1
Comp Pixel Aspect Ratio 1

Transform Scale
Frame X percent Y percent Z percent
27 276.632 322.748 101.096

Transform Position
Frame X pixels Y pixels Z pixels
27 946 392 0

End of Keyframe Data

2.  Move the CTI (current time indicator) down the timeline and try paste

a. Attempt 1 - the function works, but only when copy pasting to another layer (copy paste position scale keyframes)

b. Attempt 2 - the function does not work when pasting to another time of same layer(copy paste position scale keyframes)

3. please embed your images using the toolbar at the top of the forum

Ok, will do in future, sorry about that

Please advise

I have not seen any cases where you could not copy keyframes from multiple properties, move down the timeline, and paste them to a new location. I just tried with footage, a shape layer, and a solid.

What is your OS?

You also have a very odd frame size. 1872 X 984 does not match any video standard. Unless you are producing for some specialized playback equipment and following some very specific production guidelines you should be using standard frame sizes.  The keyframe data reflects the Layer Size, not the comp size so everything could be just fine, but it did raise a concern that is not at all related to the problem of pasting multiple keyframes to the timeline.

Im not sure.

OS: Windows 10 Home

New Problem: Resolution

(New probem) Tried to change resolution from current (1920 x 983 (via file>scripts>scale composition.jsx)

Scale factor is 1, and overrides when i manually insert width and height.

What concern is that may i ask?

How do i go about getting over this issue please? Still cannot copy paste keyframes to another time on same layer?
