Export Shapes as Vector Images

I build a lot of storyboards for clients in AI and a lot of times I need to prebuild animation elements such as transitions in AE and then import stills into AI for the storyboards. Most of the time these elements are built using shape layers inside AE, so it's such a shame that I have to export raster images out of AE for my work in AI.

Is there a process or plug-in that allows me to export shape layers from AE as vector images for working in AI? Copy and paste won't work in this situation becuase these aren't masks or simple shapes. These are shape layers (sometimes a lot) all working together to form transitions, etc.

Overlord gives you the ability to push vectors back and forth between Ai and shape layers.
