Going from Premiere through Dynamic Link

I have 3 layers in Premiere, an adjustment layer, a video and a photo underneath. I masked out the background of the video so the photo shows underneath. I now want to bring it all into After Effects.

From Premiere I tried Adobe Dynamic Link > New After Effects Composition and it opens in AE, though it does not seem to import the video? Am I misunderstanding how this works?

Thanks

You have to select all of the clips in Premiere Pro so that the adjustment layer, the video, and the photo are all replaced with the new AE comp. Personally, I would just select the Photo and the video in the Premiere Pro sequence because not all of the effects available in Premiere Pro are available in AE.

If that does not solve the problem, let us know.
