After Effects Error.PNG

Hello, I've encountered this error. I get it everytime I try to play a frame of a certain .mpg video. It used to play fine before, now it doesn't. Worried that it was like this for other files, I checked and found the error using another file. I used this video file in AE extensively as recent as last month and a lot before that. I'm concerened that I will continuously run into this error randomly, especially when I have important jobs. I've noticed some forums say change the Video Rendering and Effects to "Mercury Software Only". I do, thought the audio only plays while the video preview remains black. The video files still works, and it works in Premiere Pro.  I've tried updating and uninstalling, still nothing. I have a:

NVidia GeForce GTX 1080Ti

64GB RAM

i7-8700k

Windows 10

M.2 500GB

SSD 500GB

HDD 4TB

Thank you for any help!

Joshua
