How to open new mac AE file in Older PC version

Hello, I need to make a file created in AE version 17.0.6 mac readable in AE version 14.0.0.207 PC. Might it be simpler for the recipient to update there version of AE to a more recent version?

AE project files are OS independend. You just need to save your AE17 file in an older format. This option is in the "Safe as..." menu.

However, you can only go back to version 15. So you need to install this version, open the project file prepared for v15 and safe it again in AE14 format.

This should work.
