Hi,

Currently we are providing service to our customers like below:

1) Video Creators creats Videos ("Video Template") using After Effect. * They have personal license

2) Customer chooses one Video Template and request some modifications. (Such as simple text or image in the Video)

3) Video Creators change it by AE and send us the file, than we send it to our customers

So basically every thing is done manually.

We recently found one Library using AE script which may help our business.

which is: https://github.com/inlife/nexrender

What we would like to do:

1) We will buy AE license and install it on our Server and use Nexrender Library.

2) If user requests some modification of videos by our new website(which isn't developed yet), unlike our current buisness, All the modfication will be done automatically using AE script of Nextrender Library.

3) After all modification's done, we will incode the video and send Users the download link. Again this will be done automatically by using Nexrender.

The originall Video creators are using AE license so there's no problem for sure.
Our company will buy AE License to use Nexrender Library and change current manual work to auto so there' no problem I guess.
But I'm not sure if our customers recieve this kind of automatic service, they will now considered as a AE user thanks to all auto process on ourside thus cause license issue.

(Theoretically it is just changing our manual process to automatic one, so there might be no problem but still not sure about this)

Developer of the Library says it doesn't but we just want to be sure before we develope our site & web service.

Thank you

Hi Sean85,

It seems like it's a yes, based on this.

https://www.adobe.com/products/eula/tools/captivate.html

But, this is probably best answered by Adobe. I have forwarded your query to the relevant folks.

That said, I found these two resources which may be helpful too.

https://helpx.adobe.com/in/after-effects/using/setup-installation.html

Your customers are not AE user. They just input data in some web-interface (non Adobe), which are processed by AE on OUR side (the installation on your server). You need one licence for this. If you plan to set up a render farm, those farmer-computer don't need an individual licence, since they are working in a render mode only.
