Hi,
I'm new to this community, please let me know if I overlooked anything 🙂
Recently I'm having issues with importing Illustrator files into After Effects, I've never had/noticed this before. I'm trying to solve this but I seem to overlook some settings.
Basically I'm importing a file from Illustrator into After Effects. When I convert the illustrator file I convert it into a shapelayer, after the converting is done I notice the color values change ever so slightly - From FF6B00(Illustrator) to FF5000. Both colors are incorrect if I compare them to the illustrator file.
Settings:
Illustrator workspace: sRGB IEC61966-2.1
After Effects Workspace: sRGB IEC61966-2.1
Screen display profile: sRGB IEC61966-2.1
Please let me know if I overlooked anything.
Thanks in advance,
Ruben
Edit: I viewed my video in After Effects' viewer, in VLC and in Quicktime (on the right color profile)

Hi,
Thanks for your quick response.
Here are the details.
OS: macOS Mojave 10.14.6
CPU: Intel i7 @ 2.6 GHz (6-core) (Mac doesn't specify which one)
GPU: Radeon Pro 555X (4GB Vram), Intel UHD Graphics 630 (1536MB Vram)
Version of After Effects: After Effects CC, 16.1.3 (build 5)
Version of Illustrator: Illustrator CC, 23.1.1
I tried recreating the issue with a clean file & a clean comp, the translation by after effects was correct. The colors seemed to be the same and after creating shape layers the color code stayed the same.
I decided to try & use my illustrator file in the clean after effects comp, in this test the illustrator colors got shifted again.
Thanks once again,
Ruben
