I've got an issue when I import footage I've recorded in quicktime (recording iphone screen)

It makes weird blinking screens.

See video here: http://www.quardonmedia.dk/greenscreen.mov

What to do?

As i wrote, quicktime.
Connect iphone to mac, record trough quicktime.

I figured out if I convert the recorded video to h264 via media encoder it works!

What sort of application are you using to capture this screen?

go to the footage in the project panel right click->interpret footage->main->more option and change it to smooth video motion. you will lose the audio sync probably but maybe that's less important to you. it's the VFR in which the video was recorded and Ae is not successful in getting the frames from the video.

If you could send a test footage here via link, I'd like to examine it.

thank you. I see it is a variable frame rate video

and Ae/Pr cannot recogonize it as such so can't fix the VFR issue. so it seems converting in some other software might work. thanks for sharing the video and what worked.

The latest versions of After Effects and Premiere Pro should be able to work with variable frame rate video, but there may or may not be audio sync issues depending on a number of factors.

As other answers, it is the VFR, which can be solved easily with Handbrake exporting the clip as mp4 checking Constant Frame Rate in the Video tab
