Preferences/Preview/Show Internal Wire Frames

It was prechecked in AE, but after a fresh reinstall, it's now unchecked?

Do I need it?  What is it?

Thanks,

Letty

Hi Letty,

Thanks for reaching out.

Yes, it's completely fine if you leave it On. For your curiosity, here's an article that describes all the After Effects preference: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/after-effects/using/preferences.html#preview-preferences_cs6

Hope it helps.

Thanks,

Nishu

It doesn't do much. If I remember correctly when you were using the Ray Traced rendering mode and you extruded a shape layer you could see the edges, but the switch does not seem to make any difference using the C4D rendering engine.
