Is there a way to draw a path for "position" to follow?

This is a high density still frame, enlarged in the stage, and I want

the position to change over time along a path of my choosing.  How do I learn

this pleasE?

If you create a solid that is the same size as a comp and you don't change the position or scale or rotation, you can draw a vector path on the layer with the pen tool and then copy the path, then reveal the position property of the layer or effect that you want to have follow the path and paste. Here's a tutorial I did a long time ago that shows how to use the technique with 3D layers to animate a camera path.
