Media Encoder Issue

I've worked incredibly hard on an edit, and I want to show a preview to my friends. However, Media Encoder just completely refuses to connect. No matter what I do. I've tried dragging the pre-comp from AE directly to ME, and it's worked for the first step in that, well, it appeared in the queue. I hit the start render button, it shows it's connecting to the Dynamic Link Server, then after a few seconds it just. Disappears, and I can no longer start the render for it.

It's not on my desktop, and it's been 4 hours now. Please help me

First render the composition in the after effects app into the .mov format, then go to media encoder and render the composition in the .mov format. Sorry if this doesn't make sense!

LATEST

Be sure you use the same compatible version between AE and AME, I highly prefer to update to the last version if you are not the latest release
