I tried to open some projects from 2015, and I keep getting an error message.
"Unable to import file XXX/XXX/XXX/XXX.aep as project bad format (or not readable."
I have been using AE for 20 years, and I have been able to open older projects before. What can I do to get them back?

Would you try to open it by CC 2019 and then save it as CC 2019 before you open it by CC 2020?

Yes, I also tried that in 2019 before I asked the question here. In v16.1.3. I should have mentioned that I had tried that, too.
This happened with about 15 different projects from 2015.
