Hi,
i would like to encrypt (protect) my after effect file with a password. Is there a way in AE? I can't find settings for this. Not enough users are interested in this feature?
Thanks
You can ask for it at the official After Effects Feedback site. You might want to do a search there first to see if anyone else has requested it yet, and how many votes it has gotten.
It might not be considered a top priority because there are already ways to password-protect files without having to have each individual application spend development time coding their own way to do it. But if you can gather enough votes to push it closer to the top of the list, it might become a higher priority

Place the project file in a password protected folder.

Why would anyone be interested in such a feature? What would you even protect, given, how AE works? If you don't want to share your trade secrets, simply don't give away your files and only hand deliverables, i.e. rendered output to clients or whoever. It's really as simple as that.
