Rendering Freezing

I have been using adobe affects since March and I have never experienced this problem until today. I exported my composition of 30 seconds into render queue and click render, approximately 30-40 seconds into rendering it froze. I though it was a bit odd so I left my desk to go make a drink. It had be around 5 minute came back and it hadn't made any progress. I continued to wait, nothing happened. I ended up re-boot after effects .(I had saved my composition before trying to render) I re-exported my composition into render queue and attempted again. It froze in the same spot again. (This is my first time writing something like this, if you request some information about my laptop or after effects to help I will of course give it.)
