Good day all. I was recently watching a tutorial where the user searched for effects with a quick shortcut but I cant find that short cut any where.

Many thanks!

cmd+5 (ctrl+5) is the standard way to bring up the effects panel.

From there cmd+F (ctrl+F) will highlight the search field.

Many people use videocopilot.net : FXConsole as well

Thank you. It must be the FxConsole or something similiar. As the menu just appears in the middle of the screen where ever their cursor is when they type the shortcut.
