Hi Community,

Remedial AE user with essentially no experience. Trying to render an AE logo sting file which was downloaded from Envato into a usable format for Davinci Resolve. So far, all efforts have ben unsuccessful. Resolve will not accept the .avi format, have experimented with others but no success so far. Thanks in advance.

Start by using the Render Cue and the Lossless With Alpha Preset that is the second option in the Output Module presets. If you still have a file that won't open then you need to examine the available codecs on your system that support alpha channels and set up your own Output Module custom Template. You can then save it, delete the original presets that don't work, and replace the default formats in the list by going to the Edit>Templates>Output Module menu.
