Time remap causing distortion.

I’m using After Effects Version 17.5.0 (build 40) on a Mac 10.15.7.

I've done some screen records of a website which I have then sped up to make them faster using time remap.

As soon as I add the time remap I'm getting this distortion.

-I've tried purging the memory and disk cache.
-I've tried applying the remap to the original recording in a comp.
-I've tried nesting the video within another comp and applying the remap to that.

I can't seem to fix it.

Any help much appreciated.

Thank you

Convert/ transcode the source clip in another program. Screen recording tools use all sorts of weird tricks liek variable framerates or only encoding areas that actually change, not the whole screen. This wreaks havoc with most professional video apps.
