Hello,

There's something i need to make and I can't work out how to do it.

I have a footage of some paint dripping. I was able to delete the background so its footage on transparent.

I need to create a mask path around the silhouette. So basically autotrace, but not just one frame- for a 4 second footage.

Does this exist?

I tried tracking the mask and it hasn't worked well and also tried rotobrush and that doesnt work either.

Any other solutions would be highly appreciated!

Do you need an actual vector path or can you use a track matte? I have a lot of paint splatter, ink drip, and paint trip stock footage that I use all the time as luma track mattes for other footage.

A more detailed workflow description and your design goals would help us help you.

I concur with Rick - tell us, what you are actually trying to do and we will advise. Auto-trace is probably a terrible idea, anyway. It creates unnecessarily complex masks that are terrible to work with and thus often aren't much use. Other techniques are often better.

Yes, you can auto-trace more than one frame by setting Auto-trace to use the Work Area (Layer > Auto-trace...).  In this case, set the Work Area to the 4-second range of footage that you want to trace.
