Unable to select a perfect straight line (pen tool) in the comp window

The situation : 

1. Select the pen tool

2. Create a straight line with stroke only, on 1 axis only by holding shift (it can have 2 points or many points, just keep it straight with shift)

3. Deselect

4. Try to reselect in the comp window with the selection tool (unable to).

It doesn't work either if I create a more complexe shape and then delete the points to end up with a straight line. The resulting straight line cannot be selected either. You can only select it by a tiny ghost point that is created with the shape layer.

I've attached 2 screen capture that demonstrate this pretty clearly. This bug is driving me mad. I'm planning to go around this with a filled rectangle and a one axis scale animation, but goodbye trim path.

This was a bug in a previous build that has been fixed. Make sure that you are running the latest build of the version of AE you are running.
