Unexpected auto-saving when opening the project

Hello AE community,

Since yesterday I have been experiencing a auto-saving issue.

Once I open a AE project file, as long as I click anything in the comp (such as moving the position keyframe, or changing the composition sizes, etc)
It pops up the saving project window and it's always 0% completed.

I couldn't cancel it and had to force quit it.

I checked my mache is all fine, even I cancelled the auto-saving function and it's still happening.
I work on my stuff on dropbox but the connection with dropbox seems ok.
Tried reinstalling AE couldn't help either.

Would anyone know what's going wrong?

Without any info about your system, your project and settings such as the cache folders nobody can really tell you much. Start by checking your caches and flush them and also have a look at your hardware acceleration settings and all that stuff. after that comb through your project for botched effects, damaged footage sources and otehr potential culprits that can make AE act up.
