Working with text layers and masks

Hey!

i'm working with 3 text layers and 3 masks:

i'm trying to animate the text and reveal the from the bottom:

so i had to put the in reverse order in the composition index, so they wouldn't conceal each other..

and so, i have two questions:

1. is the any way to set the layers in the right order in the index? i feel pretty stupid to pass this to my client in the revers order..

2. is there a plugin/effect/script UI i can use to creat this animation in only one layer?

You could start by using the "mask" layers as track mattes, not simply having them obscure layers underneath.
