Hi,

Does the user have administrator privileges? The above mentioned error is generally seen if the user does not have the administrator privileges or you are running multiple instances of Adobe AIR.

Could you go to run and type regedit. Registry editor will open up. Traverse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Sofware\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Installer and see if DisableMSI key is present. If it is there please check its value and let us know.

Thanks!

I get the same message when I try to install any .air packages. I have separate admin account just for privilege elevation purpose, and it seems that adobe air installer and package installer are very confused about that.

Manaul to resolve problem:

1. Download adobe AIR.

2. rename downloaded file AdobeAIRInstaller.exe to AdobeAIRInstaller.zip

3. extract AdobeAIRInstaller.zip  to folder XYZ

4. rename source folder ( im my case  - "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe AIR" ) to another name ( Adobe AIR.BAK )

5. Copy folder ""Adobe AIR" from XYZ  to target folder from p.4 ( "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe AIR" )

It's all

Hi,

Could you try the following steps on your machine and see if issue gets resolved:

1. Go to command prompt, right click and choose "run as administrator".

2. Type sfc /SCANNOW and enter. The scan would take some time.

3. Once the scan is complete type msiexec /unreg and press enter.

4. Type msiexec /regserver and enter.

5. Once you are done with the above 4 steps try installing Adobe AIR again.

If you still face any issues let us know.

Thanks!

Microsoft has a Fix-It for exactly this kind of problem.

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17588/fix-problems-that-block-programs-from-being-installed...

I had the same problem removing Adobe AIR and the step-by-step procedure of this Fix-It removed it successfully.

Hey Walter

Microsoft has a Fix-It for exactly this kind of problem.

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17588/fix-problems-that-block-programs-from-being -installe...

This will work but can it be deployed out via SCCM and what would be the command line to have it target:

Uninstall

Adobe AIR

Silently
