Hi
Im using fb 4.7 air sdk 15.0.0.349 with Macosx 10.9.4, xcode 6.1 (ios simulator 8.1) and i keep getting the following response when debugging with ios simulator:
Error occurred while installing the application:
Session did end with error (null)
Can you help? Is this a bug being fixed yet?
Thanks.

Hi,
The issue is fixed and will be available in next AIR SDK beta.
To try the fix now,
Download isb from https://www.dropbox.com/s/sffwx8um12lkrzy/isb?dl=0
Replace it with the one at <sdk>/lib/aot/bin/isb/isb
Thanks
Govind

Same for me. Yostemite, beta 15 and now beta 16. null error when trying to use simulator. This is bad. Adobe needs to fix this asap.

Agreed, the lack of response here and the lack of a resolution is very harmful for AIR as a viable means of developing cross platform mobile apps... This could turn developers away or prevent new ones from joining the bandwagon... Not sure what Adobe is thinking here...

Hi,
All the iOS simulator installation issues (except Yosemite + Xcode 6.1 ) are fixed in latest release(AIR SDK 15.0.0.356). Please try it and share if you see any issue on Mavericks.
Thanks

Hi,
with 15.0.0.356 it worked perfectly on first launch, but the "session did end..." error is back since.
Maverick / IntelliJ 13 / Air 15.0.0.356 for Flex ( without compiler )

That's exactly as with the old version - it would always work on first launch and then stop working...

What about Yosemite + Xcode 6.1? When will you have a fix for that?

Problem still there with 15.0.0.356.
Error occurred while installing the application:
Session did end with error (null)
on Mavericks/xcode 6.1.
What is going on with Adobe?

this error is still happening with AIR 16.0 via xcode 6.1 on mavericks .. cant believe it., i'm having to jump through hoops just to get screen shots with manual installs which still only work in one language !
this needs urgent attention, if we cant even test on the simulators were completely stuck ! ... its a killer for a business and a serious issue !

same result:
Session did end with error (null)
Still no debugging possible.

Juse installed AIR 16.0, have Yosemite and Xcode 6.1 using iOS sdk and sim 8.1 - it worked the first time, and now every other time I'm getting the sessions of end with error (null) error. Is the AIR 16 beta the one that was supposed to fix the issue??

Error occurs in OS X 10.10.1 as well.

Error persists in AIR 16.0.0.222.
I have to release an AIR authored iOS app next week. I hope it runs on the devices I can't test against.

Don't bother, Apple will reject it.
Adobe are to blame for this.

My App didnt work with the new compiler and got rejected because it was randomly crashing. I dont know why, because i cant test. stolennickname I solved that by compiling with -useLegacyAOT yes and hoping for the best, it worked, but still, not being able to test on iOS is a huge deal Adobe.
Do you still want AIR to be used for mobile development or not? AS3, AIR Development, now mostly mobile, was a huge part of my income in the last years. Sadly, that feeling that i have to move away and learn something else (Phonegap, Swift) is getting stronger.

Any word yet? This is beyond ridiculous and as Dennis84 correctly points out, makes one wonder if you still expect the community to take AIR seriously or not. If not, then please make a public announcement and provide a proper migration path.

Totally agree. This is really making development and testing a lot harder at the moment.
