Latest Version of Air won't install on my MAC! Help!

Community Beginner ,

I have a Mac book pro running version 10.7.2.  I recently purchased Adobe CS5.5 Master Collection and proceeded to uninstal my previous version so that I could install the new one.

After downloading the 'demo' version and then trying to install it, I received an error message asking me to install the latest version of Air.  I downloaded the latest version of Air and everytime I try to run it...I get an error saying that Adobe Air needs the latest version of Adobe Air in order to proceed with installation.

What the??? This is insane!! I tried all the various troubleshooting suggestions including inserting code in Terminal but nothing works!!

Please...I'm a professional and need my CS5.5 running urgently!!

Thanks...

Charles

I can't believe this is happening! I've been trying to get Balsamiq to install and run on my Mac OSX 10.6.8 for 3 hours!

I get the same error messages as reported above. "Application requires a version of Adobe AIR which cannot be found..."

I uninstalled Flash/Air/etc downloaded them and installed them again using both Firefox and Safari.

I even downloaded and launched Tweekdeck in case that might work, Launched Firefox,

and now registered with Adobe to be able to ask for your HELP!

Mac OSX 10.6.8 does not have "automatic graphic switching" in Energy Saver pannel

just automatically reducing brightness & dimming display, I tried switching them off.

I don't know what else to try?  Any advice would be GRATELY appreciated!?

Pretty Desperate!

To help troubleshoot, which Mac model do you have? (Maybe your Mac doesn't have the ability to turn off automatic graphics switching).

Are you receiving that error when you try and install Balsamiq or when you try and run it?

When I try to RUN Balsamiq I get the following error:

"Adobe AIR:

This application requires a version of Adebe Air which cannot be found.

Please download the latest version of the runtilme from http://www.adobe.com/go/getair,

or contact the application author for an updated version. [OK]"

I can run TweetDeck.app just fine?

Any suggestions? Thank you!

JUST GOT IT WORKING!  Hurray!

Tried another Uninstall of both AIR & Balsamiq. Then Emptied Trash Can. Then installed AIR again then Balsamiq and it just worked this time?

Not sure which of the previous attempts helped this and If I still need to keep my Energy Saver settings off since

Mac OSX 10.6.8 does not have "automatic graphic switching" in Energy Saver pannel, do I need to turn off

just "automatically reducing brightness" & "dimming display" are they related to the Graphics Switching?

THANK YOU for your help everyone!

I'm having this issue, but I'm using Windows. Is there  a Windows equivalent to "turning off automatic graphics switching"? I'm attempting to install muse.

Thanks
