Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone encountered this bug and managed to fix it. If not (or if this is not my fault somehow), I will open a bug report about it.
The bug does not happen on AIR 3.6 on any platform. It also does not happen on 3.7/3.8 for iOS. It only happens with 3.7/3.8 for Android.
There is a classic text input textfield on the screen. It is a singleline textfield. But somehow, it works like a multiline text. Whenever I press enter, I get a line break. Did anyone experienced this problem before?
Thanks everyone!

Could you please share the Android device(OS version) , AIR 3.x version you are using. I tried with classic text input textfield(Flash professional CS6) with Android OS versions 2.3.1, 3.1 and 4.1.2 but could not able to reproduce the issue. Please share a sample project at nimitja@adobedotcom (if possibe) to reproduce the issue. This will help us investigating the problem.

Nimit

Same issue here.
Create a non multiline textfield and then use a Nexus 7 running Android 4.2.1. If you tap on the enter key of the keyboard the blinking line goes underneath like if the textfield was multiline. Not possible to "validate".
Workaround: use StageText

Can you please confirm once from the files present at https://www.dropbox.com/s/cee5rhwcz04goz6/SingleLine.zip , if you are doing something different. We are still not able to reproduce the issue.

Hey Nimitja, didn't you receive the mail I sent you? I have included the source files, an apk file and all the details about the settings while compiling it.
I am checking out the example you sent, will reply soon about it.

Nimitja, I did download the example you've sent and seen that you were able to reproduce the issue.
-I got the example.apk from the singleline.zip that you've sent.
-Installed it on Galaxy Nexus, running Android 4.2.2
-Tapped on the texfield, pressed enter, got a linebreak.
Maybe it is related to the android version after all?

Could you please give a try with any other device if possible. Also, are you using the default keyboard?

Hey Nimit,
I have tried it on Nexus 7 (4.2.2) as well and reproduced the same problem.
I don't have any other device to test though. But Globzie above told that the problem also happens on 4.2.1
And yes, I am using the default stock keyboard.
Thanks for the help,
Tolga
