I recently upgrade my AIR version (on automatic update for a security release) to 2.0.4 and started having problems with Remote Objects on Windows - getting the dreaded Channel.disconnect errors. I upgraded to the AIR 2.5.1 pre-release and the problem disappeared.
Has anyone else experienced this? Hopefully AIR 2.5.1 for Desktop gets released soon - I get the impression it will. Any data on the issue is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jeff

Hi Jeff,
What runtime were you using before? 2.0.3? You mentioned that this occurs on Windows, is it all versions? What version of IE is installed on the computers that are effected?
Thanks,
Chris

Chris,
It was on Windows XP and yes I was using 2.0.3 previously. I haven't tested
on Windows 7 yet. IE version is 8.

Thanks Jeff. I haven't seen this particular bug but I have heard reports of random disconnects when using XMLSockets with 2.0.2 and 2.0.3 (though I've never been able to reproduce them.) Would it be possible to get a test application so we can try and reproduce it internally? Since you're in the AIR prerelease program, you might also want to add a bug into the database so we can start tracking it immediately to determine what fixed it with the beta release. Please feel free to contact me at ccampbel@adobe.com with any sample code if you'd like to keep it private.
Thanks,
Chris
