XMLHttpRequest timeout problem

Guest

I recently updated my AIR app from 1.5 to 2.6 and I found that an http request that used to work without problems is now timing out after about 30 seconds and not listening to the server response afterwards. On timeout, the XMLHttpRequest object returns a readyState of 4 and a status of 0. I've seen this bug reported for early versions of 2.0, but I thought it was resolved in 2.5. Is it still an issue? Any suggestions for a solution much appreciated.

Hello,

There was a change that occured in AIR 2.0 that altered the timeout behavior from AIR 1.5.  In AIR 2, we added the URLRequest.idleTimeout and URLRequestDefaults.idleTimeout properties. In AIR 2.6, we’ve added similar support to NetConnection with the new httpIdleTimeout property.  Could you give that a try and see if it helps?

Thanks,

Chris
