I get the administrator won't allow install as the error message.  When I try to follow the troubleshooting instructions and remove the old installation, it won't uninstall using control panel.  In  another post on the forum, it said to post the install log to get some help.  I am running Windows 10 Creative version on an HP PC.

OK I did that, and it said it fixed it.  However the version number remains 3.2.0.2070.  My Kaspersky wants me to update to version 25.0.0.134.  That update will still not run.  Should I not worry about updating the app?  It seems like I am pretty far behind in versions, so I didn't know if I need to work with it some more.  Thank you.

Hi,

Could you go to "Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Troubleshooting\All Categories" and run the Program Compatibility troubleshooter and select Adobe AIR and run the same.

Thanks!

Thank you for your help.  I have already downloaded the program Adobe AIR version 25.0.0.134 from the site.  The problem is I still get the same message that the administrator won't allow install as I got the first time.  Where I am now is that the old version of Air is uninstalled, but I can't get the new version to install either, so it is not available on my computer.

Yes I am the administrator.  When I run the program, it opens this window:

Air setup.JPG

It then goes away and in a couple of minutes this window appears:

Air update 2.JPG

It runs and says it was updated successfully.  But in the programs of control panel, it does not show that the version has changed, it still appears to be the old one:

Air Update 3.JPG

So is there some other place to look to see if it actually updated?

Yes, refreshed it and even opened and closed it after I tried installing.  Still shows the 3.2.0.2070, the only thing that changes is it updates to the day I am trying to update it.
