I've been working on an Android app for quite a while and i have problems with random runtime crashes. I am not able to track it to any specific events and it seems not to be related to any as3 code or specific event. Its very hard to find the actual problem and i need to talk to someone perhaps from the dev team? chriscampbell ... to be able to find the reason. I have the android crashlogs, but its hard to pinpoint the actual problem other than it is in libcore.so.

Can anyone help me with this? This is a really big problem...

Thanks for sharing your concern on the forum. We will definitely look into this issue. We will need the following information to work on it.

1. Can you share a minimal sample app where the issue is reproducible ?

2. Are you getting any crash log? If yes can you share the same.

3. AIR SDK build version you are using.

Thanks,

Abhay Kumar

Hi, thank you for your response!

Unfortunately, reproducing the issue in a simple way is not so easy.

I would really like to share an example, but im not sure how this can be done.

The app is part of a training system/game used for one of the biggest banks here in the nordic, and will only run in a local network setting with the gameserver attached. Also, we are running over devices with the app, and are only about 5-10 crashes randomly distributed over the 30 devices during a period of 2 hours. So pinpointing the exact issue is difficult.

However; we have used a lot of time to look into this and it does not seem to be related to anything specific done in as3 or any specific events happening on screen. It seems the crashes are totally random.

I'm attaching an crashlog in the bottom of this post that clearly shows the issue.

We are using AIR 23 captive on Android 6, but have previously used AIR 21 with the runtime installed. In both cases we still get the crashes.

It is very important for us to get this fixed.. but at this point we really dont see any clear reason for the problems.

Many regards

Tommy

Thanks for sharing crash log with us.

To investigate further on the issue, we need exact the AIR SDK version (23.x.x.xx) using which the app was packaged.

Thanks,
