I have idea. If Flash/AIR runtimes can drop DirectX support - this will allow to use

1) GLSL shaders directly

2) Make much simpler developing of runtime for Adobe

3) Adobe can develop direct bridge from opengl api to as3

4) codebase of runtime can be decreased. A lot!

I think dropping directx support will not open any new features. New features will open new features . IMO glsl support for stage3d where it is availble natively is a better way.
