iOS app Data Protection question

Hi,

We are looking into Protecting Data Using On-Disk Encryption for our iOS apps. I read an article on the adobe site (Protecting content on an iOS device with DPS | Adobe Developer Connection) that mentioned instead of using X-Code to program each file via iOS Data Protection API, the same results can be achieved by generating Data Protection enabled AppID/provisioning profile to pacakage in the app. Is that going to work without X-Code programming?

Also, our app downloads content files from the internet and saves to the app's Documents directory. The app also loads HTML pages via StageWebview, the loaded HTML contains user interactions and saves user generated data to localstorge within Library/Cache in the app's directory on the iOS device. Does On-Disk Encryption protect files in these locations within the app?

Thank you advance for any feedback and advice.
