It's the Flash Player plugin that will be no longer supported. Flash Player, the desktop app, should still be around, and SWF will still be there for people doing animations for video, and for people developing AIR apps.

A bit more specific: No, Air support is not ending in 2020. Adobe confirmed that they will continue to develop and support Adobe Air after Flash Player support has ended:

I don't want to spread FUD, but EXACTLY where has Adobe made any such confirmation?  I've had a recent Adobe employee just a few weeks ago tell me he was certain it was sunsetted.  The last I checked that thread it had been a year or something since Adobe even commented.  And their comment has not been followed through upon.

Not trying to create  drama but I really need to know.  Lacking any actual official word from Adobe I can tell you the way I have to approach it--that it's going be unsupported simultaneously with Flash player's end.
