Activating Advanced Layers Moves Symbols

Hi, all. Still pretty new to Animate. I built out an HTML 5 Canvas project recently and now need to use advanced layers. When I switch on advanced layers in the existing project .fla, it moves my existing symbols to a different location on the canvad, I imagine because they are anchored in a particular way. Not sure.

Any reason why this would happen?  Does switching on advanced layers move an origin point or something like that? Thanks in advance.

Just to follow-up on this. One thing I failed to mentioned was that I recently copied over a symbol from a different project before activating advanced layers. I was able to track down the issue by testing on earlier commits to see if I could replicate the problem on a previous version of the project. I fixed the issue by activating active layers and then adding the symbol from another project. That seemed to maintain existing symbol positions. For some reason, the symbol from another project wa

Hi.

Do you have a camera on stage? If you do it may be the cause of the position shift.

If not, do you mind recording a video showing the issue? Because I cannot reproduce this problem on my side.

JC

I fixed the issue by activating active layers and then adding the symbol from another project. That seemed to maintain existing symbol positions. For some reason, the symbol from another project was causing everything to move around if I copied it over before activating advanced layers in my current project. So, I'm guessing it was because of the symbol's relatively based on the external project. And I'll leave it at that. Thanks for your willingness to help.
