Adobe Animate 2018 Crash

New Here ,
Oct 27, 2017 Oct 27, 2017

Everytime I try to publish anything with sound. Animate Crashes. I've tried resetting my preference, I've tried editing my permissions, turned off my fire wall, and I've uninstalled and reinstalled. I have also tired installing an older version of animate and publishing that way too and it does the same thing. It shows the publish bar at 80% and shuts down. It's done it for multiple files.

Sometimes there can something that is corrupted, and if it appears about 80% of the way into the animation, that's when the crash would happen.

With sound in particular you can get problems if you have used 24 or 32 bit sound. Check all of your sounds to make sure they are 44.1 kHz, stereo or mono, and 16 bit. Any that are 24 or 32 bit, or even 48 kHz, you should replace with a new sound that has the right settings.

If that's not the answer, the next approach would be to delete some of your timeline, and try a publish again. Like:

Delete all frames from half way to the end of the timeline. Don't Save. Do publish.

If it published ok, then Undo, and delete the last quarter of the frames, and try again.

If it crashed, open the file again and delete all frames from 1/4 of the timeline, to the end, and try a publish.

Hopefully you will home in on what is causing the problem quickly. You might also already suspect certain things, like the sounds, and you could delete those from the timeline to see if it then publishes ok. If it does, replace the sound, with the right settings.

That did the trick! I just started over with the sounds, something must of been wrong with one of the files.
