Adobe Animate Deleted My Work!

I did a small animation and saved it as it was, and when I reopened it today, all my progress was gone. It still has the layers named, but none of my animation is there. It's the same when I open the backup file too. Did I do something wrong?

did you have auto-recovery enabled?

prevent significant loss like this in the future by saving frequently with increasing version number appended to the file name.  periodically close and reopen the latest version to confirm it's not corrupted.
