Adobe Animate fla file completely gone

I had an animation i was working on for the past few weeks. Everything is going fine and i save it regularly. I have restarted my computer a few times during this and I am still able to access my file. Now, upon restarting my computer again, I find no evidence that the file was ever there. No recovery files, not even the original file i saved. It is so unbelievably annoying to see that my files have completely disappeared off my computer after a simple restart, and this is specific to animate as a gif i had saved part of it as is still on my computer. Is there any help i can get for this?

search your computer for fla files.  they don't just disappear.

adobe animate can corrupt fla files (if it crashes while the files are open) but it still doesn't remove them.
