so I'm trying to open Animate, and it's not working. I've opened it perfectly fine from a browser without having to install anything, since this account is paid for by my school but for some reason everything on Adobe is completely different from when I was using it in my Digital Design and Animation class and I can't open anything. I tried to open Animate, and it sent me to some page saying i can't open it on mobile (which I'm on my SCHOOL LAPTOP) and it sent me this email which supposedly had a link to download and open Animate and it just took me right back to that page that sent me the email. this is the link it sent me http://adobe.ly/28ZUiZ9 vs the one that link is sending me to https://creativecloud.adobe.com/apps/download/animate?promoid=DHWC1KPL&mv=other and not only that but I'm ONLY able to go to the link from gmail since if i type it into my browser it gives me the 404 page not found screen. I've tried googling what's going on with this, but it's only giving me stuff completely unrelated so I assume this has never happened to somebody else before or something.

you cannot and never could open animate from a browser.
you cannot and never could open animate on a mobile device.
animate is strictly win or mac computer only.
you must have a subscription to use beyond the free trial period (14 days), https://creative.adobe.com/plans

I suspect your laptop is a chromebook running ChromeOS.

Animate only runs on Windows or Mac, ChromeOS is not supported.

I wonder why Adobe doesn't make products for chrome.

1. it's an under-powered os.
2. it's market share x fraction of potential adobe users must not be favorable
