Adobe Flash CC Wacom pen issues.

Hi,

I have a Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga Ultrabook that has tablet functionality via Wacom. I have had no issue drawing within the Photoshop that I have had for months now, but when I just installed Flash CC, the tablet will not let me use the tablet pen to draw a line correctly. What it does is makes a long straight diagonal line every time I try to touch it to the screen, and then at the end of said line, it then will draw what I gesture with my hand. The problem is, its offset now to the end of the line, so it is completely unusable. It has no problem working if I were to use my finger on the touch screen instead of the pen, which is very strange.

Some things to note:

-Again, it works fine with the pen in other drawing apps like photoshop

-The issue persists with the default pen and a different brand pen that I frequently use.

-I have all my graphics drives updated

-I have the latest Wacom Feel it drivers

-I turned off all tablet settings that might interfere. Which shouldn't matter anyway if the pen works in other Adobe apps.

-I cant find a single thing online that comes anywhere close to what I need about this issue. I have no where else to turn! It seems like a Flash not being able to handle the tablet function settings.

-I am not a newbie to the Wacom functionality, so I have tried all of the obvious fixes.

Does anyone know of any fixes for this problem? I have the 30 day free trial of Flash, and I am not going to buy this if I cant get it resolved in the next month!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi,

This issue is reproducible on some specific devices only and is being investigated and tracked internally.Any progress on this will be conveyed.

Meanwhile if it is not a problem for you, could you please uninstall the driver for tablet and Flash(Use CC cleaner tool) and re-install the latest version of drivers from Legacy Drivers | Wacom  and also Flash Pro CC 2014 from Creative cloud. reboot the system and check if the issue happens??Because most of the times updation of the driver has helped

It's already been well over a year, and this issue still persists?! I'm rather disappointed, especially since I read through all the comments and it seemed like there was quite a bit of denial that it was the program itself that had the issue at the start, despite people already giving examples of other programs working properly even with the same "error" in driver/graphicscards/whatnot, showing that it was likely that single program with the issue.

OS- Windows 10

Tablet- Cintiq 13 HD

Tablet Driver- 6.3.11-4

Single Monitor Set-up-- Cintiq display mirrors original desktop, still persists even when the display isn't hooked up and is only a single display, period.

Screen Resolution- 1920 x 1080

Additional check: Does Norton Antivirus or anything else end up corrupting the file for Flash. I was downloading Flash along with a couple other Adobe CC products and Norton started acting up and shutting down and going haywire. Not only that, but I've heard of Norton possibly corrupting and/or deleting files. Can you get a check on that possibility, if everything does indeed appear to be "fixed" and/or "resolved" on your end?

I've also just gotten an update for Flash CC, tried out the Brush tool, and it STILL hasn't been fixed yet. Lucky I'm not expecting to do any Lightning effects for awhile, though it is still a major inconvenience for my coursework.

Wow- I am having the 'lines' issue too, latest Flash CC 2015, Wacom Bamboo latest drivers work in all other programs, Win7Pro, tried the above workarounds with no success. The Wacom pen works FINE to use tools like the vector draw tool or shape tools, just the pen and brush are wacky.

It is REALLY disconcerting to read thru this thread, now over 1 year old, and to see this issue has gone unaddressed and that Adobe staff replies are still 'update your drivers', or 'set your fonts to 100%' (done) and as more and more people chime in with 'me too' all they can do is offer 'the problem is on your end' advice...? Just yesterday, I had a most-excellent customer service experience thru Adobe as my CC would not load or update and they flat-out fixed it... took an hour, but-DONE. I need this fixed, I have a large animation projetc to do...ADOBE_help me.jpg

I had this issue at first. Reinstalling Wacom didn't help at all.

I don't know if this would help with others. I went to Local Services and restarted the service "Wacom Professional Service". It went back to normal for me. Try restarting "Touch Keyboard and Handwriting Panel Service" if it doesn't work too.

I downloaded flash's 30 day trial version 3 days ago excited to give it a try.
Upon launch I had to find out that it's bugged the exact same way as everybody prior to me in this thread has stated. Diagonal lines nomatter which of the aforementioned "fixes" I tried.

My OS is Windows 8.1

Using a Wacom Intuous 5 with driver version 6.3.14-1 Multilingual

I have two monitors (One laptop screen and one added LG montor since one is just too cramped and small to operate on)

My screen resolution being: 1920x1080   (And yes I tried lowering it and it did absolutely nothing but make everything look smushed and crappy)

This seems like a huge bug to be having for over a year  and is highly driving me away from your product, since going through the hassle of fixing this, seems to be too much of a guessing game.

Hi,

There seems to be an issue with the latest Wacom driver[6.3.14-1] released on 8/28. If you go back to the prior driver version then it will be all right. You can download the legacy drivers at  Legacy Drivers | Wacom

Thanks!

Hi there,

I'm experiencing the same issue outlined throughout this forum (I've just posted a stand-alone-thread detailing the very same problem with strange lines when using the brush tool).

I've followed the steps outlined throughout the various postings, including the most recent suggestion to downgrade the Wacom drivers. Unfortunately, the problem persists.

-I'm running the most recent version of Adobe Flash CC (downloaded two days ago).

-My platform is Windows 10 with the most recent drivers and updates.

-I'm using a Wacom Cintiq 13 HD with the legacy driver 6.3.11w3.

-I have three screens (a LCD primary and secondary, and the Cintiq as tertiary) all running at recommended native resolutions and other settings.

Please advise.

Thank you

Same issue.

I have an older wacom tablet but it works perfectly fine in every other software.

Wacom ct-640

Windows 10

Flash cc

Interestingly it did work on the very first stroke I put in to flash but since then flash does not react to sensitivity of the pen.

Have tried installing various drivers for the tablet, as well as reinstalling flash multiple times.

I just ran into the exact same issue. A straight diagonal line appears on touch and then the drawing occurs at the end of the line. As it turns out it was fixable by going into the display settings (this is windows 10) and then checking the line that says "Change the size of text, apps and other items" For me that was set to 125%. When I set it to 100%, the line issue disappeared. I think these settings often change automatically if you switch between different resolution secondary displays. Check it out and see if it works for you.

Yeah the problem is, when I set my resolution to what works with flash, it completely destroys everything else. Its a huge hassle to constantly go into the windows settings ans switch back and forth just because Adobe cant get their act together!

Same issue, I can't get my work done.  I tried installing a previous driver, but for some reason it didn't install right?

I downloaded the old driver, installed it (apparently) and restarted my computer.  Still not working. 😕

This issue is due to the latest wacom driver. Please install the older wacom driver (6.3.13), restart your machine and launch flash.

With respect, your assertion that the problem lies in the latest Wacom drivers is probably incorrect. Thumbing through this thread will reveal the same issue present with our without the latest drivers. I, like others, experience the same issue no matter what version of the drivers are installed.

Hi, I am having this issue as well.  I've tried all of the solutions above including the workaround solution.  I don't have  Wacom professional properties in that location.  I am on a Lenovo laptop running windows 10, Duel monitor, using a Cintiq 24HD touch.  My pen strokes are displaying as the other have mentioned above: down and off to the right.  Your help will be greatly appreciated.
