Alpha Not supported in Tagged Swatches?

Community Beginner ,

Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Tagged swatches seem to work fine until you adjust the alpha. There are no alpha changes. I can change the color, so seems like I'm doing it right...

So I chatted with Adobe customer support. They told me that alpha doesn't function yet in tagged swatches and to look for it in an upcoming update.

So not sure what you're talking about Colin.

It seems to work ok for me. The alpha in a color that I make be a tagged swatch is there ok, and if I want to do alpha afterwards I can double click on the tagged swatch in the Swatches palette, and change the A value to something else.

I did see one case where another object changed its color but not the alpha, but maybe that's intended. If you have changed the alpha of that other object to something different to the tagged swatch, it takes on the color but doesn't change the alpha.

Or something like that!

Not sure I understand what you're saying.

I have many tagged swatches.

They work for color, but when I adjust the alpha they do not modify.

Mine do. Are you using Animate 18.0.1, build 115?

I figured it out, tagged swatches can have alpha in them from the start, but changing the alpha value takes two attempts for the change to take effect, and it only affects the shape you have selected. Other areas with the same tag will change color, but not alpha, even after a couple of attempts.

I'm quite aware. That's why I posed the question.
