Animate 19.0 not available?

Community Beginner ,
Oct 24, 2018 Oct 24, 2018

Hi, I'm trying to install the latest version of Animate, and when I do it's only version 18. I've tried this on a windows 8 PC and a windows 10 PC.

I go to "other versions" and it's still maxing out at v18.0.

Can anyone tell me why version 19 isn't able to be installed?

Thanks

Lachlan

Hi.

Probably you need to request the Creative Cloud desktop app to check for updates.

Update Creative Cloud apps

Open the Creative Cloud desktop application by clicking the Creative Cloud icon .

The Creative Cloud desktop app displays all available updates. If there are no updates listed, click the three vertical dots icon in the upper-right corner, and then choose Check for App Updates from the pop-up menu.

I hope this helps.

Hi JoãoCésar, thanks for your reply

Unfortunately that isn't working for me. I am still only able to access v18 on both windows 8 and windows 10.

In addition to what Joao said, I suggest logging out and logging back into the CC desktop app. That sometimes helps. If you still have issues, use the Customer Care link from the above post.

Thanks,

Preran

Thank you, no this didn't work.

I suspect this is Adobe being "clever". It has decided at the server level that my system isn't up to scratch, so it is not allowing me to even SEE the latest version. I have two machines that I alternate between depending upon whether I'm building or rendering. One of them is windows 10.

I suspect this is a BUG at Adobe's end that is saying "We've detected an earlier OS, therefore we're going to mark this user down as being unable to access these applications". Even doing what you recommended landed me unable to access my adobe products all day.

Unnecessary, oppressive, purely aesthetic DRM. It's super messy.
