Hi,
our team has used Animate versions 2017 and 2018 for publishing SVGs for web use. In those versions instance names has been used as ids for published graphic objects but since version 2019 ids are coming from layer names. This is a big issue for us because we have thousands of files created this "older" way and we would like to start use the latest version of Animate. Is there a way to change the naming policy of ids from layer names back to instance names OR is there maybe coming an update for Animate where you could choose which svg-publish method you use?

Hi. Look under Publish Settings and choose to disable Advanced Layers. I think that may solve your issue.

Unfortunately that didn't solve the problem. Animate still wraps every MovieClip on stage under one graphic object and uses layer name as id.
