I'm on a 2017 MBP 15", with High Sierra 10.13.5. Animate CC v 18.0.1 and Photoshop 19.1.4.
After starting a new work file or opening an existing one - trying to drag any asset from Photoshop (rectangle, text, smart object) into the Library will cause the app to crash.
You actually won't be able to get close to the window, it will crash upon proximity.
Anyone else having issues? This seems to be the buggiest year (2018) for Adobe products on the latest versions of anything, and I've been using an Adobe Suite for nearly a decade.
Haven't heard of this issue from anyone I must admit.
I would suggest restoring preferences Re-create preferences
If that does not help, I suggest updating the graphic drivers on your computer by visiting the graphic drivers' website.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks,
Preran

I know how that works, as well as other means of getting items into Animate. I'm focusing more on the experience of using other Adobe programs directly with Animate
I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing poor UX dragging from Photoshop and other asset creation tools in the suite.
This seems like simple functionality that shouldn't crash a program, if it can't happen - other Adobe Programs show a circle with an line through it for a cursor when hovering over the second applications window.
