Animate keeps crashing on the latest Mac OS. Do we know if they are planning to update Animate to a 2025 version or is it being discontinued?

there's been no announcement about 2025 version. in other circumstances that's meant there will be no 2025 version.

and for your crashes you can install the previous version that worked
like what @kglad suggested, you could use a previous version and see if it doesnt crash
