Animate files being opened by not me

Ok so recently I've realized that whenever I turn Animate on it says a file was opened -insert time here- and I know for a fact that I did not open it at that time and date. I sometimes dont touch the file for a week and then I log on to find that it was opened a couple days ago. Is it possible for someone else to be touching my files? If so how do I lock them out of doing such a thing?

Sure. Someone could be opening your files by direct use of your computer or via remote methods. Do you have a secure login to your user account? Is the file in question on any sort of shared area or is it bound to your user account?
