Animate not responding

New Here ,
Sep 23, 2022 Sep 23, 2022

Hi,
I made an animation in which I used many bitmaps on which I used classic interpolations (I didn't know it was not recommended).
The changes were taking longer and longer to load onto my file until I couldn't even open my file.
Now when I try to open my file, "Animate is not responding"; I think it's a computer performance issue.

I haven't made any saves throughout the project (I will now) and can't open the file with Animate to reduce it.

So my question :
Do you have an idea to lighten it without opening it via Animate?
I found that we could replace the extension .fla in .rar to see what the file contained (photos 1 and 2) but I cannot manage to remove the interpolations this way nor the bitmaps without corrupting the file.

Ps: I set my performance to high, redownload animate, it doesn't change anything

Thank You !

8gb is the minimal to install animate.  using the bones tool to animate is more resource demanding than i assumed, so perhaps you just need to use a computer with 16+gb ram to open your fla.

if you upload it to a file server and i'll test that for you.

5, with 30 keyframe for each (1 in 2 was different) with classic interpolation on them.

unless you have a very resource limited computer (eg, less than 8 gb of ram) or those bitmaps are each very large, that shouldn't be a problem.

on the other hand, why don't your convert (eg, use animate's trace function) each of the 5 to vectors and animate those?

or did you use winrar to repair your fla?

Neither, I have 8GB of ram.
I'm starting with Animate, I don't know the possibilities yet, I'm discovering little by little.
I only used the bones tool on the imported images.

Winrar didn't help, my file is like before, unopenable but not broken.

Thanks, that's very kind of you.

However, the animation in question belongs to a client and I do not have the right to publish it...

If the only way is to increase the power of my pc, I will find a solution.

Thank you for your time kglad.

i recommend you test, before investing, by  borrowing the use of a computer with more ram.
