I have a movieClip on my scene with instance name character1.
I want to play its internal timeline with this.character1.gotoAndPlay(2);

But getting this error TypeError: Error #1010: A term is undefined and has no properties. at animation1_fla::MainTimeline

I have Adobe Animate CC 2020

Hi.

Can you provide the complete code you're using in the frame you're trying to play the Movie Clip instance? Also, can you provide a screenshot of your timeline with your character selected and the Properties panel being displayed?
