Audio only playing from start?

When I try to play audio in the timeline, it doesn't work most of the time. When I play it from the very first frame it works, but from anywhere else it's silent. help

is your sound's sync property (in the properties panel) set to event or stream?

click on the keyframe where your sound starts and check the properties panel.

open the properties panel

select the keframe where your sound starts

check the sync property
