We have a process in which we bring in Adobe Illustrator files (floorplans, buildings, etc) into Animate and then break the linework in order to optimize. The issue is, especially with building level floorplans, is when there are a large number of lines that breaking process can take upwards of 30 minutes to an hour, in some cases it hangs the program completely.
Question is, is there any way to optimize Animate, either a setting to break linework quicker or automatically break on import? Barring that, is there a setting in Illustrator that would pre-break the linework?
Thank you for any help you can offer

It will be worth testing with Flash CS6, if you have a copy.
Animate has much worse general performance than Flash, and CS6 can open Animate files, so it can fit in any Animate-based workflows.
ps. If you share a FLA which has one of these complex floorplans, I'd be happy to do a test breaking it apart in CS6 and AA23 for comparison.

Hi, you can break the paths in Illustrator by selecting them and going to Object > Expand (tick Fill and Stroke).
Ungrouping the paths and shapes before importing them also helps: Object > Ungroup (Shift +Ctrl+G)
