Hi,
I still don't understand why it is so hard to pick a brush from the Brushes library with the brushtool, fluidbrushtool or Pencil. The only available tool for brushes is the Linetool.
Can someone explain to me how this works?
(Adobe animate 21.04 MacOS cCatalina)
thanks!

It's just bad UX and bad naming, but it's not hard.
The brush library works with the Paint Brush tool (and the Line tool), that's all.

Well if you can show me how, that would be much appreciated!

1. Choose the Paint Brush tool as your current tool from the Toolbar.
2. From the Brush Library browse and choose a desired style. Double-click on it to make it current.
3. Adjust the Stroke size (thickness) and other settings to your liking in the Properties panel.
4. Draw

thanks, but that doesn't do anything. I double clicked it many times with both brushes and pencil selected but nothing changes. Also i don't understand the frase 'Ad to the document' nothing gets added by double clicking on any of the brushes in the library. not in the classic or fluid brushes options panel or anywhere else for that matter.
In the picture attached you can see i selected (double clicked) the charcoal brush in the library panel) but the result is still the standard brush.
still going crazy...many it's a MAC bug?

Mate,
Use the Paint Brush Tool. Not the Classic Brush or the Fluid Brush, or the Pencil.
I even posted a screen shot in my first answer.
It's not a bug. It is just bad UX, having multiple tools that have very similar names.
You are using the wrong tools.
