Bug report : Imported PSD layers in Animate look corrupted

Hi,

When I import a PSD's layers to Animate, they show up as if they were corrupted or mixed with one another.

I tried on HTML5 and AS3 projects with the same results.

I tried various setting in the Animate import window with the same results.

I've attached a picture showing the result if it helps.

Animate version : Build 31044

Photoshop Version : 21.2.3 x64

Windows 10 x64 2004

If anyone knows of a work-around, let me know.

Thanks.

import your text as a bitmap (in the import dialog).  that will fix the text problem.

i'm not sure what's happening to that bentley bitmap.  i can't reproduce the problem.

Hi kglad, thanks for your answer.

My text layer in Photoshop was actually rasterized when I exported it. I'll give your suggestion a try.

As for the Bentley layer, this bug happens everytime I export a layer with transparency on top of another.

Hi Pramila5CFE,

Sorry, I was away.

If you or anyone else wants to try to import layers from my PSD, here's the file on WeTransfer:
https://we.tl/t-jF0WywRrd7

If it works fine for you, I guess the issue might be with my computer.

Thanks.

that looks like an animate bug.  but to work-around, remove the background from the bentley in ps.

Hey Kglad, good to know I'm not the only one.

Unfortunately, the actual PSDs I work with can have a dozen layers on top of each other to export for animation.

I guess I'll have to stick to exporting to PNG and placing them manually until there's a fix.

Thanks for your help.

Hi.

I in this video I show a possible workaround. It's far from being a solution, but maybe it will help you out.

Please pay attention to the way I configure each layer type in the PSD importer dialog.

Also check your bitmap compression and smoothing in the Library and the output quality in the Publish Settings.

Regards,

JC
